Your TV remote, right on your phone.

Universal Remote helps you find and control compatible smart TVs on your Wi-Fi network. Connect your phone and TV to the same network, choose your TV, and follow the pairing prompts. No account is required for core remote controls.

EVERYDAY CONTROLS
Navigate with a clear directional pad, adjust volume, control playback, and switch inputs when supported by your TV. Use the keyboard or optional voice-to-text input on compatible devices. Save your favorite app shortcuts and channel presets for quick access.

MORE THAN ONE TV
Keep your paired TVs together and switch between them from the remote. The connection screen shows available TVs and offers Quick connect for TVs you have used before.

OPTIONAL SUPPORTER FEATURES
A monthly AppTehk supporter subscription unlocks Activities, which combine remote commands into a sequence, and Discover, which presents popular streaming picks. All available supporter tiers unlock the same premium features. A supported streaming app may open on your TV; direct playback of a selected title depends on the TV and streaming service.

Core remote controls remain free. Universal Remote contains no advertising SDK or third-party ads. An optional project-updates page lets you follow development and other AppTehk projects.

COMPATIBILITY
A compatible network-connected TV is required. Features vary by TV brand, model, software version, and enabled network-control settings. Some devices require a pairing code or approval on the TV. Not every smart TV supports every control. Universal Remote is a Wi-Fi remote, not an infrared remote. Local remote controls can work without internet after setup; cloud features and streaming information require internet access.

Streaming subscriptions and content are not included. This app is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by TV manufacturers or streaming services.

Optional subscriptions are billed through Google Play and renew automatically unless canceled. Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play. Pricing and availability are shown before purchase.
