Getting to know someone often gets stuck in the "how's it going?" loop. Riff is built to break that loop.

Riff is a conversation game for two or more people. You pick a category together, Riff sends you a question that fits the moment, and you take turns answering. The question is the move. The conversation is the board.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Pick a category with the person across from you
2. Let Riff send you a question
3. Take turns answering — get curious, laugh, get surprised
4. Tap for the next question

That's it. No feed to scroll, no chats to manage.

CATEGORIES

— Social
Light, warm-up questions that get people smiling. Perfect for new acquaintances or for friends you haven't seen in a while.
Example: "What's your weirdest habit?"

— Fun
Playful, absurd, "would you rather" style questions. Made for road trips, group dinners, and tables that need a spark.
Example: "If you had to listen to only one song for a week, which one?"

— Deep Stuff
Philosophical, existential, character-revealing questions. The shortest path to "okay, who are you really?"
Example: "If you could take back one moment in your life, which one would it be?"

— Relationships
Love, dating, past relationships, expectations. For new dates that want to skip the script — or for long-term partners who never got around to asking.
Example: "What's your one non-negotiable in a relationship?"

— Career & Goals
Dreams, plans, work life, future vision. See yourself — and the person across from you — through the lens of "where do you actually want to be in five years?"
Example: "If money wasn't an issue, what would you do tomorrow?"

WHY RIFF?

- No more "what do I even ask?": Pick a vibe, get a question.
- From shallow to deep, your pace: Start with Social, end up in Deep Stuff — only if you both want to.
- Fits any setting: First dates, long drives, dinner parties, couple nights, family time. Pick a category, the rest follows.
- Clean, ad-free interface: Just the question and the two of you. Nothing in the way.
- Thoughtfully written questions: Each one designed to actually go somewhere — not just fill silence.

WHO IT'S FOR

- First-daters who want to skip the small talk script
- Long-distance friends catching up over a call
- Couples tired of running out of things to say
- Friend groups with a new face at the table
- Anyone curious about the people around them — and about themselves

GETTING TO KNOW SOMEONE, AS A GAME

Riff doesn't leave conversation to luck. It gives it a shape. You flip a question like a card. You answer when it's your turn. You listen when it's theirs. It's not a social feed, it's not a messaging app. It's just you, the person across from you, and the question between you.

Download it. Open it with one person. Pick a category.
The conversation takes care of itself.
