AccessibilityService API

SelfOS uses Android's AccessibilityService API to support its app-blocking and focus-management features. The service allows SelfOS to detect which app is currently active by identifying the app's package name. This information is used to determine whether the currently opened app is restricted by the user's focus or blocking settings.

The AccessibilityService is used to provide the app-blocking functionality requested by the user. SelfOS does not use the service to read or collect the contents of your screen, messages, passwords, or other personal content.

SelfOS isn't about being productive every minute of the day. It's about being more intentional with your time.

Whether you're studying for an exam, working on a project, learning a new skill, or simply trying to spend less time on your phone, SelfOS helps you create a better relationship with your digital life.

Start small. Stay focused. Build discipline.
