File2Mail is a straightforward Android application designed to help you send ZIP files as email attachments using your own SMTP configuration. Whether you need to share compressed files with colleagues, clients, or friends, File2Mail provides a simple interface to select, attach, and send multiple ZIP files in one email.

### What File2Mail Does

File2Mail allows you to organize and send ZIP files from folders on your device. You can add multiple folders to the app, browse their contents, and select the ZIP files you want to send. The app uses your configured SMTP server to deliver emails with attachments, giving you full control over your email sending process.

### Key Features

**Folder Management**
Add any folder from your device storage to File2Mail. The app remembers your folders and displays them in an easy-to-access horizontal list. Switch between folders with a single tap, and remove folders you no longer need.

**File Selection**
Browse ZIP files within your selected folder using the built-in search feature. Type a filename to see matching suggestions, then tap to add files to your email. Selected files appear as removable chips, making it easy to review and adjust your attachments before sending.

**SMTP Configuration**
Configure your own SMTP server settings within the app. File2Mail supports both Gmail and custom business email servers. Enter your SMTP host, port, username, and password once, and the app saves your settings for future use.

**Email Composition**
Compose your email with recipient address, subject line, and message body. Attach multiple ZIP files from your selected folder. The app shows you how many files are selected and how many are available in the active folder.

**Simple Interface**
File2Mail uses a clean, modern design with Material Design components. The interface is organized into clear sections for folder selection, file search, and email composition. All features are accessible from the main screen without complex menus or hidden options.

### How to Use File2Mail

1. Open the app and tap "Add Folder" to select a folder containing ZIP files
2. The app loads all ZIP files from the selected folder
3. Use the search box to find specific files by typing their names
4. Tap suggested files to add them as attachments
5. Configure SMTP settings by tapping the settings button
6. Enter recipient email, subject, and message
7. Tap the send button to deliver your email with attachments

### Technical Details

File2Mail uses Android's Storage Access Framework to access folders you select. This means the app only accesses folders you explicitly grant permission to, ensuring your privacy and security. Your SMTP credentials are stored locally on your device and are only used to authenticate with your email server when sending messages.

The app supports standard SMTP configurations including TLS/SSL encryption. Port 587 is used for TLS connections, and port 465 for SSL connections. You can use Gmail with an app-specific password or configure your own business email server.

### Who Should Use File2Mail

File2Mail is useful for anyone who regularly needs to send ZIP files via email. This includes professionals sharing compressed project files, designers sending asset packages, developers distributing builds, or anyone who works with compressed files and needs a dedicated tool for email delivery.

### Privacy and Data

File2Mail does not collect or store your email content, attachments, or SMTP credentials on any external server. All data remains on your device. The app only communicates with your configured SMTP server to send emails.
