Learn the Quran word by word, five words a day, and start to recognise them when you hear recitation or read the mushaf.

Word Quran teaches Quranic Arabic vocabulary to beginners. The course covers the 500 words that appear most often in the Quran, and together they make up over 70% of Quranic text.

What you get
• 500 Quran words in short daily lessons
• The English meaning of each Arabic word
• Each word spoken aloud, with transliteration
• The ayah each word comes from, with its recitation
• Quick quizzes and spaced review that bring words back before you forget them
• A Quran quiz game through the Cities of Knowledge with Hudhud the hoopoe
• Quizzes with a friend on the words you have both learned

How a lesson works
Pick a daily goal of 5, 10 or 15 words. You hear each word, read its meaning and see it inside a real verse, where you can play the recitation. A short quiz follows. Earlier words come back for review on a schedule, so they stay with you while new ones arrive. As your list grows, you'll start to notice familiar words in the surahs you recite in prayer.

A Quran game between lessons
Your caravan leaves Madinah with Hudhud the hoopoe and travels through the Cities of Knowledge. It's an Islamic game about the stories and teachings of the Quran, and every answer shows the ayah behind it. Score well to light the city's lanterns. The pearls you earn on the way buy new looks for your caravan in the Bazaar.

Free to learn
The whole course is free online, with listening and quizzes. Premium is an optional monthly or yearly subscription with no ads and extra study tools. You can hear ayahs at 1.5× or twice in a row, see recitation visuals, build your own word sets, practise the word pairs you mix up, and get extra pearls with every daily gift.

About "over 70%"
We count every time a word appears in the Quran. That's word frequency. The source of our word list estimates about 73%, and we say "over 70%" to be careful. It doesn't mean you'll understand 70% of the verses. Words are a first step, and grammar and reflection still matter.
