Most reading apps count pages. ReadPace is a book tracker and reading tracker that measures your real reading speed — and whether you actually understood what you read.

A reading speed test on a screen passage tells you very little. ReadPace measures words per minute on the physical book in your hands: start the timer, read the way you normally read, then scan the pages you finished. On-device text recognition counts the words, so your WPM is measured, not estimated.

Then it asks you questions about those exact pages, and shows your recall score next to your reading speed.

MEASURE YOUR REAL READING SPEED
• A true words per minute (WPM) reading speed test on any printed book
• The camera counts the words on the page — no manual page counts, no stopwatch maths
• Every reading session is logged against the book you are reading
• Works offline: the word counting never leaves your device

A READING COMPREHENSION TEST AFTER EVERY SESSION
• Questions written from the pages you just read, not generic trivia
• Get a comprehension score beside your WPM
• Review every answer, with explanations for the ones you missed
• Always skippable — it never blocks saving a reading session

FIND YOUR READING SWEET SPOT
This is the one no other reading speed app can give you. ReadPace groups your tested reading sessions into speed bands, averages your comprehension in each, and reveals the pace where you remember the most — plus the speed where your recall starts to drop. Speed reading is only worth it if the comprehension holds, and now you can see exactly where yours does.

A READING TRACKER THAT SHOWS PROGRESS
• WPM trend over 7 days, 30 days or all time, with your goal line on the chart
• Personal best, weighted average and week-over-week change
• Weekly reading goals and streaks
• Your most productive time of day — morning, afternoon or evening
• Which book categories you read fastest, and which you remember best

A BOOK TRACKER FOR YOUR WHOLE SHELF
Your reading log keeps every title separate: lowest, average and highest reading speed, average comprehension across tested sessions, a speed curve across the whole book, and a full session history with words read, time spent, WPM and recall score.

WHO READPACE IS FOR
Students who need it to stick. Professionals reading to stay sharp. Anyone with a shelf of non-fiction and a nagging suspicion they are not retaining much. And anyone who wants to read faster with proof that comprehension survived the speed.
