DietTribe is a dietary-friendly food directory for New Zealand and Australia — built for people managing coeliac disease, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance, or a vegan and vegetarian lifestyle. Choose your country in Settings. New Zealand is our home market with the deepest coverage; Australia is a preview and growing.

Whether you're standing in a supermarket aisle or looking for a safe place to eat out, DietTribe gives you the information you need, fast.

Scan barcodes in the supermarket
Point your camera at any barcode to instantly look up packaged products. See at a glance whether a product is coeliac-safe, gluten-intolerant safe, or lactose-intolerant safe — and how confident DietTribe is in that information. Can't find a product? Submit it in about a minute and help the community.

Search products by name
Browse or search thousands of packaged products. Each listing carries a confidence state — Verified, Unverified, or Unknown — so you always know how thoroughly the information has been reviewed.

Find dietary-friendly venues
Browse restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food trucks and more. Filter by gluten-free menu, coeliac-safe preparation, dairy-free options, vegetarian, or vegan. Use Nearby to find venues around your current location, sorted by distance.

Search menu items directly
Looking for a gluten-free pasta or a vegan burger? Search across venue menus by dish name or dietary flag and see exactly which venues serve it.

Set your dietary profile
Tell DietTribe your dietary needs once. From then on, every product scan is automatically assessed against your profile — compatible products get a green tick, potential mismatches are flagged immediately.

Save your favourites
Bookmark products and venues for quick access later.
