Disability types covered

Physical disability, visual disability, hearing disability, deaf-blindness, speech disability, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism or autism spectrum disorder, disability caused by long-term mental illness, and multiple disabilities.

Accessibility

The app is being built for blind, low-vision and intellectually disabled users, following the WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines. The main screens are usable with the TalkBack screen reader — input fields carry readable labels, Bengali and English text is spoken in its own language, larger type and sufficient colour contrast are used, and buttons and icons are announced. This work continues across the remaining screens and improves with each update.

Language

Bengali is the primary language of the app. Because government forms require it, much of the information is displayed in both Bengali and English. The SolaimanLipi, Noto Sans Bengali and Hind Siliguri fonts are bundled with the app for correct Bengali typography.

Data security and privacy

Information collected in the app is used only for the government process of registering, verifying, approving and issuing identity cards to persons with disabilities. The app cannot be opened without OTP verification, and a user sees only the records within their own responsibility. See the privacy policy for details.

Please note

This is a departmental application intended for authorised users of the Department of Social Services. An account issued by the department is required — there is no public self-registration in the app. Citizens seeking services should contact their nearest Upazila or District Social Services office.
