FokOffMense is South Africa’s spam and privacy toolkit — built for locals, not as a Truecaller clone.

Truecaller tries to name every caller from a global contacts graph. FokOffMense helps you fight back: block companies the community has flagged, send formal POPIA letters, report spam, and (on Android) take over as your Default Phone app so screening actually runs.

WHAT IT DOES
• Community Shield — you choose which reported companies to block on your phone
• POPIA letters — opt-out / deletion / access / objection, sent from our mailbox
• Spam reports — unlimited on every plan (calls and SMS)
• Android Default Phone — in-call UI, screening, call/SMS inbox on the device
• Who was that? — after an unknown incoming ring, name the company so the next person can see it
• Breach monitoring — alerts when your email appears in known leaks

WHAT IT IS NOT
• Not live caller ID on every unknown number
• Not a global phone directory
iPhone: no Default Phone, no call log, no SMS inbox. Report by pasting a number. Blocking uses Call Directory. Full phone takeover is Android-only.

GET THE MOST FROM ANDROID
1. Sign in with the same email as fokoffmense.co.za
2. Allow Phone, Contacts, SMS (inbox), and notifications
3. Set FokOffMense as Default Phone (Settings → Apps → Default apps → Phone app)
If Truecaller stays default, it still owns the ring.
4. Open Community Shield and block companies you want stopped
Contacts permission is required for Default Phone. We use it so numbers in your address book are not treated as spam.

PLANS
Free: unlimited spam reports and on-device blocks, 5 Community Shield companies/month, 5 POPIA letters/month.
Shield+ (R29/month): 45 Community Shield companies/month, still 5 POPIA letters/month.
Premium (R99/month or R990/year): unlimited Community Shield and POPIA letters.
Family (R279/month or R2,490/year): Premium for up to 5 people.

Privacy-first: call and SMS history stay on your device unless you submit a report. We don’t store message content on our servers.
