SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED
Freebore is a subscription app. Every feature below needs it: 7 days free, then $5.99 a month or $54 a year, billed through Google Play. Nothing is sold separately, and nothing stays free after the trial.

Dope, load workup, groups and match stages, in one app. Runs off your real numbers, not a library figure.

Dope
Pick the rifle and the load, put in the range and the wind, get the come-up in mils, MOA, inches or clicks. Flip to the reticle view and the hold is sitting on your actual reticle at the power you're running. Range card with transonic and subsonic rows shaded. Direction of fire off the phone's compass. Pick a target, any plate, gong or published vital zone, and see your hit chance before you send it. Live Kestrel air and your own groups behind the number.

Hits off the card? Mark them and true the rifle to your own impacts.

Live air and wind
Pair a Kestrel 5-series or a Calypso and the solve updates off the meter as it reads.

Match day
Build the stage card at the briefing: targets, ranges, sizes. Dial the first one, hold the rest. Match director moves a plate, put in the new range and the whole stage re-solves. Log hits per stage. Send the match to your squad with a link.

Load workup
An interior ballistics simulator. Give it the cartridge, bullet, powder, barrel length, case capacity and seating depth, then run the charge weight up and down. It models the burn from primer strike to muzzle exit and gives you peak chamber pressure, muzzle velocity, barrel time, muzzle pressure, case fill and energy, and plots pressure and velocity against bullet travel down the bore. Seat the bullet deeper, cut the barrel, swap brass, change the powder temp, and watch the curve move. Compare every powder for the load side by side. The burn model is fitted to the powder makers' published data, and when a manual lists your exact combo its row sits next to the prediction with the book named.

Targets
An easy way to measure shot groups. Photograph the target, tap the holes, and it gives you group size, mean radius and the clicks to zero. Measured it with calipers? Type it in. Ladder, OCW and Satterlee tests go in shot by shot, with your chrono numbers next to the prediction.

Guns
Barrel, twist, scope, zero, suppressor, your own brass measurements. Shooting factory? Photograph the box and it pulls cartridge, bullet and box velocity. You check it before it saves.

No mystery numbers
Every load, dimension and reticle hold shows where it came from. If it's an estimate, it says estimate. 576 cartridges, 4,167 bullets, airguns too (162 pellet and slug BCs from Hard Air Magazine's chrono testing). Load data and reticles live on the phone, so it all works with no signal.

Subscription
$5.99 a month or $54 a year (US prices; Google Play shows your local price), with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You are charged through Google Play when the trial ends, and the subscription renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. To avoid the first charge, cancel before the trial ends. Manage or cancel it in Google Play, at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. You keep access for the time you've already paid for. One subscription covers your Freebore account everywhere you sign in. If it lapses, the app goes read-only; nothing you've saved is deleted.

Safety
Pressure, velocity, drop and wind holds are estimates from a model, not readings off a pressure gauge. Work up from a published starting charge and watch for pressure signs. You're responsible for every round you load and fire.
