Your phone gets your attention all day. What if it gave something back?

Gratitude First puts a pause between you and the apps that pull hardest. When you open a chosen app, one question stands in the way: what are you grateful for? Write one good thing — a sentence is enough — and the app opens. Skip it, and the app stays closed.

THE MECHANISM, IN THREE LINES
• Choose the apps that distract you
• Write one thing you're grateful for
• Each entry opens one timed session

You still get your apps. They just stop getting you automatically.

A GRATITUDE JOURNAL THAT WRITES ITSELF
Every pause becomes an entry: text, a photo, a voice note. After a month you look up and there is a journal you never had to find time for — and a streak you don't want to break.

SET YOUR OWN TERMS
Out of the box: 8 sessions a day, 10 minutes each. That's 80 minutes of Instagram today, and after that it stays locked until tomorrow. Decide how many sessions you get per day, week or month, how long each one lasts, and get a heads-up before your time runs out. Gratitude First is a tool for your attention, not a cage: everything is yours to tune.

BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY
• A home-screen widget keeps your streak visible
• Guided challenges give you something specific to notice each day
• Nightly reminder only nudges if you haven't written yet
• Your streak card can be shared at milestone days — 7, 30, 100

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No accounts, no ads, no analytics. What you write is read by nobody but you — your journal is never sent to us. Shared challenges share only your first name and which days you've done, and only with the people in your group. Android backs up your journal to your own Google account, encrypted with your screen lock, so a lost phone doesn't mean a lost year. You can also save a full copy, photos and voice notes included, wherever you choose, and import it back on any phone.

Free to start with two guarded apps, your streak, and your journal. Premium guards every app and opens all six guided challenges, photos, voice notes and custom session rules — $4.99/month or $29.99/year with a 7-day free trial, or $79.99 once for lifetime access.

Gratitude first. Apps second.
