Buying gold, silver or diamond jewellery? Check the bill before you pay.

Jewellery Bill Checker recalculates a fair bill from the details the jeweller quotes, compares it with the jeweller's bill, and explains any difference in plain language – in English, Gujarati or Hindi.

WHAT IT CHECKS
• Stone weight charged at the gold rate
• GST above the legal rate, or GST that looks applied twice
• A rate that does not match the purity, for example a 22K item billed near the 24K rate
• Making charges above the limit you set yourself
• A missing or badly formatted HUID, with a shortcut to the official BIS CARE app to verify it
• Diamonds not declared as natural or laboratory-grown, or described with wording the Indian standard does not allow
• Bill details to ask for: net weight, purity, making charges, stone charges, hallmark charge and the jeweller's GSTIN

HOW IT WORKS
• Enter each item: purity (24K-999 to 9K-375, silver 999/925/800 or a custom fineness), the rate per gram or today's 24K rate per 10 g, gross and stone weight, wastage, making charges, diamonds, other stones, hallmark charge and discount
• Enter the jeweller's figures
• Get a clear green, amber or red verdict with the difference in rupees and percent
• Save the check on your phone, or share the result as an image

MORE TOOLS
• Old gold exchange: exchange value and the balance to pay against a new bill
• Resale value: what you would likely get back, and a reminder that making charges and GST are not recovered
• Converters: grams, tola and troy ounces; carats, grams and cents; carat, fineness and percent; approximate diamond sizes
• Buyer's checklist to read in the shop
• Retail bills and job-work bills (your own gold, 5% GST on making charges)

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No ads, no login, no account
• Works fully offline – the app needs no internet and asks for no permissions
• No data is collected or shared. Saved checks stay on your phone.
