Turn every part of the Pre-K day into a literacy moment.

Heggerty Sparks is the companion app to Bridge to Kindergarten, Heggerty's Pre-K / Transitional Kindergarten literacy solution. It gives teachers a growing library of short, joyful activities they can pull up in seconds — during morning circle, a transition, a small group, or free play — to build the skills that get children ready to read.

WHY TEACHERS USE SPARKS
Bridge to Kindergarten's print materials cover the core instruction. Heggerty Sparks fills in the moments in between, so learning doesn't stop when the lesson ends.

- 100+ activities you can search by extension (books, posters, and cards), by routine (transitions, times of day), or by learning focus (a specific foundational skill)
- Each activity includes simple step-by-step directions, an "individualize it" tip for adapting on the fly, and a callout to reinforce the skill in the moment
- Save favorites so your go-to activities are always one tap away
- Designed for real classroom rhythms — no extra prep, no extra instructional time

WHAT CHILDREN BUILD
Every Sparks activity is mapped to the skills that matter most before Kindergarten:
- Phonological and phonemic awareness (rhyme, syllables, blending and segmenting sounds)
- Oral language and vocabulary through conversation and storytelling
- Alphabet knowledge and letter-sound connections
- Executive functioning, attention, and self-regulation
- Early writing and print concepts

BUILT ON HEGGERTY'S RESEARCH-BASED APPROACH
Heggerty is known for the #1 Phonemic Awareness Curriculum, built on evidence-based literacy research. Sparks extends that same research-based foundation into the flexible, everyday moments of a Pre-K classroom.

Sparks works alongside myHeggerty and the full Bridge to Kindergarten system, so lessons, posters, cards, and read-alouds all connect.
