Your apps rest. Your practice opens them.

Sadhana Lock guards your most distracting apps on a schedule you set. When you reach for one, it doesn't scold you or start a countdown — it offers you a shloka, a breath, or a round of japa. Finish, and the app opens.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Choose what to guard. Pick from your installed apps. Social, video and games are listed first, so you aren't scrolling past Calendar to find Instagram.

2. Set your practice times. The three sandhya hours come ready. Add your own, choose which days each repeats, and the lock arms itself — exactly, even while the phone sleeps.

3. Practise to open. When you open a guarded app during a lock, the practice screen appears over it. Complete a sitting and every guarded app opens for as long as you chose.

THREE WAYS TO SIT

Guided — a shloka from the Gītā in Devanagari, with its meaning.
Your own — a breathing orb that expands and settles. Bring whatever practice is already yours.
Japa — a full 108-bead mala on screen, with a haptic tick per bead.

An honest way out: need maps, or to take a call? One tap opens that one app for ten minutes — not all of them. No begging, no shame screen.

A REAL SCRIPTURE LIBRARY

765 verses, read verse by verse, each book remembering where you left it.

• The complete Bhagavad Gītā — all 701 verses, all 18 chapters. Not a selection.
• Īśha Upaniṣad (18), Āditya Hṛdayam (31), Śiva Tāṇḍava Stotram (15).
• Nine languages: English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Odia.
• A verse of the day, and a typeset card you can share in one tap.

The Sanskrit is public domain and unedited. Every translation was written for this app.

FREE, AND PLUS

Free covers a real daily ritual: 4 guarded apps, 3 practice times, the whole Bhagavad Gītā, japa, and a month of history.

Sadhana Plus adds every distracting app, as many practice times as your day needs, three more sacred books, every reading plan, and your whole practice history.

WHAT IT DOES WITH YOUR DATA

Sadhana Lock uses Android's accessibility service to read only the name of the app in front — never your screen content, messages or passwords. The check happens on your phone and the name is discarded immediately.

Signing in is optional. If you do, your practice is saved to your Google account so a new phone can pick it up. The list of apps you guard never leaves your device, signed in or not.

You can delete your account and everything stored with it from inside the app, at any time.

Made for anyone who wants their phone to ask something small of them before it opens.
