To turn off the alarm, you read your affirmation out loud. There is no snooze button.

The moment you speak, the sleep breaks. And the direction of your day is set.

No math problems. No shaking your phone. RYZA turns those few seconds into the actual start of your day.

■ Read to Wake™

When the alarm goes off, the affirmation you chose appears on screen. You read it out loud, your speech is recognized, and the alarm stops.

It won't stop until your voice is recognized, so you can't dismiss it half asleep. Saying the words out loud cuts through the grogginess and sets your mindset for the day.

■ It works with a morning voice

If recognition struggles, the app automatically switches to putting the words of your affirmation back in order. The alarm never turns itself off, and you never get stuck unable to turn it off.

■ Built for a morning routine that lasts

If you have tried waking up at 5am, you know the hard part isn't getting up. It's what happens next.

RYZA puts the alarm clock and your affirmations in the same place. By the time you've dismissed the alarm, you have already said today's goal out loud. No separate time set aside for affirmations or self talk — it happens every morning, on its own.

■ Example affirmations

A few of the lines in RYZA:

• I start before I feel ready.
• Today I am one step ahead of who I was yesterday.
• I move in the direction I chose.
• I focus on this moment.
• I do the hard thing first.

Short lines, written to be said out loud the second you wake up.

■ This might sound familiar

• You turned off the alarm, fell back asleep, and were late
• You started waking up early and quit after a few days
• The first thing you do awake is reach for your phone
• You want to decide how your day starts

■ How it works

1. Set the time, repeat days, alarm sound, and snooze interval.
2. Choose the affirmation for that alarm, or write your own.
3. In the morning, read the line out loud. The alarm stops.

Set it once and it repeats every morning.

■ How it differs

Most challenge alarms force your body to move — equations, photos, shaking the phone. They wake you, but you start the day annoyed.

RYZA wakes you and, in the same motion, makes you decide how the day will go. The widget then keeps the affirmation on your home screen.

Dismissing an alarm takes a few seconds. Those seconds add up.
