You do not need a longer nap. You need the right one.

Most people wake up from a nap feeling worse, not better. That is not bad luck. It usually means the nap ran too long or started at the wrong time, pulling your body out of deep sleep instead of light sleep. NapWell fixes this by recommending the exact nap length your body actually needs, based on real sleep science instead of a random number on a stopwatch.

WHY NAPWELL WORKS DIFFERENTLY

Most nap timer apps are just a countdown with rain noise attached. NapWell is built around the real research behind sleep pressure and sleep cycles, so every nap length recommendation has a reason behind it.

Tell the app how you slept last night and how tired you feel right now, and it recommends the ideal nap for that exact moment. No more guessing between a quick 10 minute power nap and a full hour that leaves you groggy for the rest of the day.

NINE NAP TYPES, EACH BACKED BY REAL RESEARCH

NapWell includes a full library of researched nap types for different situations:

- Power Nap, a fast midday energy reset without grogginess
- NASA Nap, built for peak alertness before something important, based on the original NASA pilot fatigue studies
- Coffee Nap, combining caffeine and a short nap for a bigger alertness boost than either one alone
- Emergency Nap, for when you are too tired to safely keep going and need rest fast
- Full Cycle Nap, for real recovery on days when you are running on serious sleep debt
- Quick Refresh, a short screen break and mental reset under ten minutes
- Disco Nap, for banking energy before a late night or event
- Prophylactic Nap, for staying ahead of fatigue before a long shift or drive
- Appetite Nap, for pure relaxation and a mood reset, no tiredness required

A GENTLE WAY TO WAKE UP

Jarring alarms are one of the biggest reasons naps leave you feeling worse than before. NapWell wakes you up with soft, melodic tones that fade in gradually instead of a sudden blast of noise, so you come out of your nap calm instead of startled.

CALMING SLEEP SOUNDS

Choose from pink noise, white noise, rain, ocean waves, a crackling fireplace, meditation bowls and more. Import your own sounds too, if you already have a favorite you fall asleep to.

BUILT FOR REAL LIFE

An afternoon slump at your desk. A break between study sessions. Fifteen minutes before your next meeting. NapWell adapts the recommendation to whatever your day actually looks like, instead of giving everyone the same generic timer.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

NapWell works fully offline. No account required, no data leaving your device. Your sleep habits stay yours.

NapWell is still growing, and new nap types and features are added regularly. If something feels off or you have an idea that would make it better, we genuinely want to hear it. Every update is shaped by people actually using the app.
