DISCLAIMER: Civic Intelligence is an independent, community-run educational app. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any government or official entity. Civic Intelligence does not provide official government information and does not source information from the government. All content is the personal opinion and explanation of members of the public who write and review it. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date, and is provided for general discussion and understanding only. It is NOT a substitute for official information. For accurate, authoritative information, always use your own country's official government website.

Most people don't actually know how their own country works — how tax is collected and spent, who runs the power utility, what a given law really means, or how the courts, the health system, or a state-owned company function. Civic Intelligence is a place where members of the public document these things in plain language.

OUR PURPOSE: give people a place to explain, in their own words, how they understand their country to work — as community discussion, not as an official record.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Read plain-language explainers written by other members of the public on civic topics — tax, healthcare, education, justice, electricity, banking, elections, and more.
• Contribute — write your own explainers or group them into collections, and improve what others have written.
• Discuss and review — every submission and edit is voted on and discussed by verified locals, with full version history and change tracking.
• Explore community-written entries on institutions, companies, policies and resources relevant to your country.
• Local Lens — document your area in photos and short videos.

INDEPENDENT AND UNOFFICIAL
• We don't represent any government and we don't provide official information.
• Everything is community opinion. Treat it only as a starting point for your own understanding.
• Verified by location — contributors confirm the country (and city) they live in.
• Peer-reviewed — nothing is published by fiat; the community approves, edits, and can roll back content.
• Non-partisan — this is civic discussion, not political advocacy.
