Kiwimap is a live map of Auckland. Buses and ferries move in real time over a 3D city, planes fly overhead, and the coast has its own surf and fishing forecasts.

Buses, trains and ferries
• Watch them live: buses on their routes and ferries crossing the harbour, updated every few seconds.
• Stops near you, with the likely time of the next bus and your walk to the stop.
• Departures at any stop, with live times and service alerts.
• Plan a trip across Auckland by bus, train and ferry. Pick a place, choose now or later, and compare the ways there: times, changes and walking.
• A full-city map shows every live bus, train and ferry.

Ferries
• The harbour in 3D, with every ferry on the water and its next departures from the Downtown terminal.
• Find a sailing, save your wharves and follow a ferry across the harbour.

Planes
• A live plane tracker for the North Island of New Zealand, fed by our own receiver in Auckland and a community network.
• See what is flying near you, how high it is and where to look.

Surf
• Surf forecasts for 141 spots on both islands, each rated on one scale from the swell, its period and the wind, from live data.
• The best spot today and the best time to go, with tides.

Fishing
• Fishing forecasts for more than 900 places across New Zealand, salt and fresh water: the best times today from the tide, the moon and the wind.
• Marine reserves and protected areas on the map, boat ramps, and the size and bag limit rules for each area.

The city
• Auckland in 3D, with the Sky Tower, the Harbour Bridge and the wharves in place.
• Day and night. Switch the city map between them with one tap.

Kiwimap is free, needs no account and has no ads. It uses your location while the app is open to show the stops nearest you and time your walk. Location is optional: the map works without it.

Trip planning covers Auckland. Planes cover the North Island. Surf and fishing cover New Zealand. Timetable and live vehicle data come from public transport open data feeds. Weather data by Open-Meteo.com, tide data from LINZ. Ratings are Kiwimap estimates: check local conditions and rules, and never use the map for navigation.
