Got a shoebox of printed recipe cards, cookbook clippings, meal-kit cards, or handwritten recipes piling up? CardAppetit uses AI to turn that pile into a searchable digital recipe box — no manual typing required. Just snap a photo of the front (and back, if there's more), and it extracts the name, ingredients, and instructions automatically.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Snap a photo of your recipe card
2. AI reads the card and extracts the recipe
3. It's saved to your personal recipe box, ready to browse anytime

KEY FEATURES

Smart scanning
Point your camera at any recipe card — printed, handwritten (even Grandma's), a magazine clipping, or a meal-kit card — and AI extracts the name, ingredients, servings, prep time, and instructions. Made a mistake or want to tweak something? Every field is editable.

Cuisine tagging
Each scanned recipe gets an AI-suggested cuisine tag (Italian, Mexican, Thai, and more), so your growing collection stays organized without any manual sorting.

Search and filter
Find any recipe by name or ingredient, and filter your whole collection by cuisine — perfect once your recipe box starts to grow.

Favorites
Mark your go-to recipes as favorites and pull them up instantly.

Shopping list
Generate a shopping list straight from any recipe's ingredients, check items off as you shop, and reuse the same list across multiple recipes without duplicate entries.

Your recipes, everywhere
Your recipe box is tied to your account, not your device — sign in on a new phone or after reinstalling and everything's right where you left it.

PRIVACY
CardAppetit doesn't show ads or use tracking/analytics SDKs. See our privacy policy for details on what data is collected and how it's used.
