Safety looks at the apps installed on your device and points out the ones that behave like they would rather not be found.

Some apps remove their icon after the first launch. Some are installed but have no entry in the launcher at all. Some arrived from outside any known store. Individually none of these proves anything — plenty of legitimate system services look exactly the same. Together they are worth a look, and Safety is the tool that shows them to you.

WHAT IT CHECKS

• Hidden from launcher — installed, but with no way to open it
• No icon — the app declares no icon of its own
• Installed outside a store — the source is not a known app store

Each signal carries a weight. Apps are scored and sorted, so the ones worth your attention come first.

IT REPORTS, IT DOES NOT ACT

Safety never uninstalls, blocks or changes anything on its own. It shows you what it found, explains in plain words why, and leaves every decision to you. When you want to act, it opens the system settings page for that app.

YOU DECIDE WHAT COUNTS

Recognise an app and know it is fine? Mark it as a false positive and it will not be reported again. You can also write your own rules with patterns, to silence a whole family of packages at once. Built-in rules are visible and explained too, so you always know why something was considered clean.

NOTHING LEAVES YOUR DEVICE

Safety has no network permission at all. It cannot send data anywhere, because it has no way to. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. The rules you create stay in the app's private storage and nowhere else.

WHY IT NEEDS TO SEE ALL YOUR APPS

Detecting an app that hides itself from the launcher is only possible with full visibility of installed packages. The list is analysed on your device, in memory, and is never stored or transmitted.

Safety reports indications, not proof. Use it as a starting point for a check, not as a verdict.
