Tired of "best flashlight 2026" lists that are 90% sponsored? So were we.

EDC Lumen Log is an offline flashlight review and comparison app for 70 everyday-carry (EDC) lights and torches — built by a long-term carrier who takes no vendor money. Every verdict is honest, every spec is checked against the manufacturer and independent reviewers, and every entry carries the source URLs so you can verify it yourself.

WHAT'S INSIDE
• 70 curated flashlights — from budget Sofirn and Wurkkos to Olight, Fenix, Acebeam, Emisar and niche brands like Convoy, Lumintop and Reylight.
• Honest 4-axis ratings — Build, Runtime, Pocketability, Value (1–5), plus a one-line verdict that tells you who each light is actually for.
• Real specs, not marketing — lumens, candela, throw, battery type, IP rating, weight, charging. Spec sheet vs reality, with the inconsistencies called out.
• 30 plain-English guides — battery safety, spec basics, brand guides and buying tips. No jargon walls.
• Side-by-side compare — line up any flashlights and see the numbers next to each other.
• Search & filter — by use case, battery, brand and more.
• Verifiable sources — every light links to the manufacturer page and independent measurements (1Lumen, ZeroAir, r/flashlight).

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
• No sponsored picks. No affiliate-driven rankings. When a flashlight falls short, we say so.
• Offline-first — the full database ships inside the app. No account, no sign-in, no tracking.
• English and Japanese — specs and verdicts in both, so you don't have to mentally translate.

WHO IT'S FOR
EDC enthusiasts, outdoor and first-responder users, IT pros, commuters, campers and anyone building a disaster-prep kit — people tired of spec-sheet lies and "9800mAh" 18650 cells that physics says are impossible. Whether you call it a flashlight or a torch, this is the honest reference.

A NOTE ON LINKS
Some entries include shopping links (Amazon Associate). They help support the app, never change a verdict, and you can ignore them entirely — the reviews work fully offline.

Spec sheet vs reality. That's the whole app.
