ENLIGHTEN™ Mobile provides access to the most popular features of Wasatch Photonics XS Raman spectrometers, including Auto-Raman measurements with automated optimization of acquisition parameters like integration time, gain and scan averaging to achieve an ideal Raman measurement with a single click over Bluetooth® Low Energy or USB.

Measurements are stored in CSV format for easy offloading from the smartphone via USB transfer or email. Multiple measurements can be overlaid on-screen for visual comparison, or added to a device library of "known compounds" for use in automatically identifying unknown samples.

Saved measurements can optionally be interpolated to a fixed (integral) wavenumber axis, to simplify comparison of spectra collected from different devices.

Generated Raman libraries are transferable between instruments, allowing a single unit to generate matching libraries for a fleet of Raman readers.

Integrated DALAI fluorescence-subtraction algorithms use machine learning techniques to remove sources of fluorescence and noise from the collected signal, leaving a remarkably clean Raman signature for library matching.

The application automatically loads and applies factory calibrations from the spectrometer, allowing spectra to be graphed against calibrated x-axis (wavelength and wavenumber) and y-axis (NIST SRM Raman intensity correction).

The app integrates numerous laser safety features to support safe operation of Class 3B integrated lasers, including password controls and redundant laser warning indicators.
