On the Bite – Description

On the Bite is built for offshore anglers who want better information before they leave the dock and while they're on the water. Instead of scrolling through scattered reports, group chats, weather apps, and old messages, On the Bite brings the information that matters together on one map.

See where fishing activity is happening, what species are being caught, and the patterns behind those catches. Filter reports by species, depth, bait, method, and how recently the fish were caught to get a clearer picture of what's working right now.

Find the bite

The On the Bite map organizes fishing activity into areas, giving you useful location information without putting someone's exact fishing spot on display. Quickly see which areas have recent activity and dig into the reports that matter to you.

Know the pattern

A fishing report should tell you more than what was caught. On the Bite lets anglers record the details behind a catch, including:

Species and quantity

Water depth

Where the fish were in the water column

Bait used

Fishing method

Date and time of the catch

Use filters to narrow the map and look for patterns before deciding where and how you want to fish.

Fish with your crew

Create or join a private fishing group and share reports with the people you trust. Reports can be shared publicly, privately with your group, or both, giving you control over who sees your fishing information.

It's an easier way to keep your crew's knowledge in one place instead of losing valuable reports in weeks of text messages and group chats.

Check marine conditions

Fishing conditions can change quickly offshore. On the Bite puts marine weather and forecast information alongside fishing activity so you can compare the bite with the conditions expected during your trip.

Review current conditions, upcoming forecasts, and important offshore weather information without constantly jumping between apps.

Built for offshore fishing

On the Bite was designed around the way offshore anglers actually fish. It's not another social feed filled with fishing pictures. It's a tool for answering the questions that matter before a trip:

Where have fish been caught recently?

What species are active?

What depth are they in?

What are people catching them on?

And what do the conditions look like when I get there?

Spend less time piecing together information and more time figuring out your next move.
