OpenCan is the AI-powered restaurant finder built for the way Canadians actually crave food. Instead of guessing the right keywords, just say what you want — "I'm craving something sweet", "dim sum open now", "halal shawarma after midnight", "Taiwanese beef noodle nearby", "cozy brunch downtown", or "Hong Kong cha chaan teng" — and OpenCan understands the cuisine, vibe, dietary needs, and context you're after. From your neighbourhood bubble tea shop to the hidden gem two cities over. The best finds? Save them, share them, and follow the people whose taste you trust.

— AI SEARCH THAT UNDERSTANDS YOU —
• Natural-language search powered by AI semantic embeddings — type the way you'd describe a craving to a friend, not the way you'd query a database
• Hybrid search engine combines AI vector understanding with classic keyword matching for results that are both accurate and fast
• Voice search — speak naturally, the AI handles the rest
• Smart ranking that learns from what you save, view, and review to surface places you're likely to love
• Works across cuisines, neighbourhoods, dietary needs, and dining moods

— SHARE WHAT YOU FIND —
• Save the places you love into bookmark lists — "Date night", "Brunch spots", "Family-friendly", whatever your week looks like
• Choose who sees each list: public for everyone, followers-only for your circle, or private just for you
• Follow friends and people whose taste you trust, and save their lists straight to your own collection
• See reviews from people you follow with the context you actually care about
• Private profiles supported — approve who can follow you
• Share any list or restaurant with a single tap
