"I'm not good enough." "It's too late for me." "They'll figure out I'm faking it."

It doesn't arrive as an opinion. It arrives as a fact, in your own voice, and you plan your day around it. You've had it long enough that it feels like self-knowledge.

Mirror Works takes that one sentence and puts it through eight steps in eight minutes. You leave with it rewritten in your own words.

It isn't a journal. It isn't a chat that goes wherever you take it. It's one structured conversation about one sentence, and it ends.

HOW A SESSION WORKS

Bring a thought, or just the mess it arrived in. The first step pulls one working sentence out of the pile - the one actually running the day. Then Mirror asks, one question at a time, and you answer. No advice. No interpretation of what it means about your childhood. Just questions, in an order that goes somewhere.

You finish on a summary screen. The sentence you walked in with, in red. The rewritten one, in blue. Both in your own words, because a sentence somebody hands you never sticks.

Under it, one small action for today. One to five minutes. Not a plan, not a program - one move that makes the new sentence true in the body before your head talks you out of it.

WHY NOT JUST TALK TO SOMEONE

Anything will listen. A friend, a notebook, an app. Listening is where most attempts stop, and then you go to bed with the thought you started with.

This doesn't listen. It walks you - through naming the thought, questioning whether it's true, feeling what it does to you, and out to a sentence you can use tomorrow morning.

WHAT'S INSIDE

- One thought at a time: one limiting belief, one session
- Situation starter: can't name the thought? Start from what happened
- Proof: every closing screen saved, so you see what you've changed
- One small action: at the end of every session, one to five minutes long
- Any language: write in yours, Mirror answers in the same one
- Mindset reads: short pieces on why the same thought keeps coming back
- Reminders: an optional nudge to come back, plus a daily insight
- The usual suspects: inner critic, self-talk, rumination, worry

WHY I BUILT IT

I looked for a way to change my thinking for as long as I can remember. Not out of curiosity - pessimism was my default setting. Everyone says the same thing: work on your beliefs. Nobody says how.

I went through a dozen methods. Each one wanted something I didn't have: a notebook every morning, an hour of stillness, another course I wouldn't finish. Most of them ended in understanding, and understanding changed nothing by Thursday.

So I built something smaller. Eight steps. One sentence at a time. It worked on me first - that's the only reason this app exists. Then I taught myself to code at forty to get it out of a folder on my desktop and into a pocket.

Mirror Works was built with a coach, a linguist and a psychologist. We ran the process with more than eighty people bringing the beliefs that hold them back, the thoughts that cut, and the situations they couldn't get out of. That's how the eight steps found their order.
