German EUC Riding is a top-down endless arcade game: you ride an electric unicycle through an endless, procedurally generated German city – and every patrol car that spots you gives chase.

Why? Because in Germany an electric unicycle cannot be made legal. It has no handlebar, so it is not an "Elektrokleinstfahrzeug" like an e-scooter; it gets no type approval (§ 19 StVZO), so no insurer will cover it – and riding uninsured is not a fine but a criminal offence (§ 6 PflVG). People ride anyway. Neighbouring countries simply put the monowheel next to the e-scooter and regulated it. Germany forgot it. This game points at that gap.

My personal opinion: an EUC is much more than an e-scooter or an e-bike. Some are powerful enough to count as motorbikes and reach 100 km/h – yet an EUC is small and convenient in a way no bicycle, let alone a moped, can match. Proper regulation would make the roads safer and give people another serious alternative to the car.

WHAT YOU GET
• An endless city: every run generates a fresh German town – grid suburbs, old-town lanes, arterials, rivers, forests, gardens and orchards, footpaths through dead ends. It never ends and never repeats.
• Police that actually chase: patrol cars see you in a cone, radio every car nearby and route through the streets after you. Fast on the boulevards, slow in the lanes – and they cannot take footpaths. Every chase opens with a siren and a VERBOTEN! over the loudspeaker.
• Reputation is the score: a million of it, gathered over all your rides, lobbies the legalisation through – and the police are gone for good. Good deeds earn the most; it also trickles in while you ride, faster near the police, tripled in a chase, with a bonus for every escape.
• Good deeds: ride down bag thieves fleeing on bicycles, e-scooters and motorbikes; bring hikers lost in a rainy forest back out – load rescue kits at the rescue team and hand them out, down the stairs if your suspension allows.
• Races: challenge the riders you meet – drag races through the countryside, obstacle races in town, off-road with jumps, streams and stones. Three wins open the next kind; leading earns reputation, winning pays money.
• Battery and charging: speed eats the battery; empty means walking. Charging stations refill you – stop and wait while the police roam, or skim through at speed for a few percent. Garages also hide you and upgrade the wheel.
• Deliveries and the garage: pick up parcels, beat the timer, earn money – make the urgent time for reputation too. Spend it on your wheel – top speed, acceleration, battery, charging speed, handling and suspension, ten levels each – or on a navigator with an autopilot. Fully upgraded, buy reputation.
• Police exhaust at junctions makes your head spin; a gas mask helps.
• Caught? Pay a fine and ride on – before the third comes the MPU, the "idiot test". The fourth catch ends the ride, and the screen shows the real charge you would face.
• Save and exit in any garage, continue later. 47 achievements paying money and reputation, statistics for every ride.

HOW IT PLAYS
One thumb on the speed slider (drag up to go faster, double-tap to stop), the other swipes to pick the road at the next junction; a U-turn button for emergencies. Played upright; the races are drawn sideways – just turn the phone. The sides can be mirrored for left-handed play, and a short introduction teaches it all on a ride into Germany.
