# Introducing ProTradeJournal — Your Trading Journal, Now in Your Pocket

Every serious trader knows the truth: you don't fail because you lack a strategy. You fail because you don't *review* — because your edge quietly erodes trade after trade, hidden inside a spreadsheet nobody opens after the first week. ProTradeJournal was built to fix exactly that, and now it's built for the phone in your hand.

## Why a Trading Journal, Not Just a Tracker

Most Indian traders track P&L in a notebook, an Excel sheet, or scattered broker statements. None of that tells you *why* you're winning or losing. ProTradeJournal was designed from the ground up for NSE/BSE swing and positional traders who need more than a running total — they need a system that reveals patterns in their own behavior.

With the mobile app, that system now lives where your trading actually happens: on your phone, between market hours, during a commute, or the moment you exit a position.

## Built for Indian Traders, Broker-Accurate by Design

Generic journaling apps treat brokerage and taxes as an afterthought. ProTradeJournal doesn't. It calculates brokerage, STT, and other charges with broker-accurate precision — Zerodha, Angel One, Groww, ICICI Direct, and more — so your P&L reflects what actually lands in your account, not a rough estimate. As broker charge structures change, the app's rate history keeps every past trade accurate to the day it was taken.

## See Your Edge, Not Just Your P&L

The mobile app brings ProTradeJournal's signature analytics to your fingertips:

- **Automated P&L tracking** — log a trade and let the numbers work themselves out, brokerage and taxes included.
- **MFE/MAE analysis** — see the Maximum Favorable Excursion and Maximum Adverse Excursion on every trade, built on real daily candle data, so you know if you exited too early or held on too long.
- **Natural language queries** — ask your journal questions the way you'd ask a colleague: "Show me my best trades in Defence stocks this quarter" or "How did I do on trades held over 10 days?" No filters to configure, no dashboards to hunt through.
- **Missed Trades tracking** — log the setups you saw but didn't take, so your journal captures your full decision-making process, not just your executed trades.

## Designed Around How Swing Traders Actually Work

ProTradeJournal isn't built for scalpers glued to five-minute charts. It's built for the 3-to-15-day swing and positional trader — the kind of trader watching Defence, Infrastructure, Capital Goods, Pharma, and PSU Banks for the next breakout or pullback. The mobile app is designed to fit into that rhythm: quick to log a trade at entry, quick to review at exit, and detailed enough to reward the trader who takes review seriously.

## Your Data, Your Edge

Every trade you log becomes part of a growing, personal dataset — one that shows you, in numbers, what your actual edge looks like. Not the edge you *think* you have. The one your own trade history proves.
