In Autograd, you become an AI researcher in a deep idle simulation. This isn't just a clicker; it's a true AI idle game where your strategic decisions shape the path to Artificial General Intelligence. Build your lab, manage resources, and pioneer the breakthroughs that will define the future.

Build Your Foundational Models
Your journey begins with the fundamental building blocks of machine learning. Each classic model you train becomes a passive generator of Compute, the essential resource that powers all your research and upgrades. The core loop of this engaging idle game is about reinvesting your gains to achieve
exponential growth, using the output from one model to unlock the next.
• Start with linear regression, your first reliable source of Compute to kick off the research.
• Progress to polynomial models, learning to balance their increased power with new challenges like
overfitting.
• Unlock robust classification models like K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) after completing milestones.
• Implement Support Vector Machines (SVMs) to tackle complex data and boost your output.
• Develop ensemble methods like random forests to significantly increase your Compute generation.
• Reinvest earnings into upgrades, directly enhancing the efficiency of each active model.

Pioneer the Neural Network Frontier
Reaching the mid-game marks a significant turning point in this ai idle game. Here, you unlock the
expansive research tree and gain access to the game's most powerful tools: neural networks. The tech
tree allows you to specialize and forge your own route toward AGI. Each node you purchase provides a
permanent, meaningful buff that shapes your long-term strategy, making every investment impactful.
• Navigate a sprawling tech tree to customize your lab's unique strengths and research focus.
• Invest Compute in research nodes for permanent, compounding buffs to your entire operation.
• Unlock and train specialized neural network models for massive gains in overall production.
• Enhance your neural nets by purchasing additional layers to deepen their complexity and power.
• Hire specialist researchers, each providing unique passive buffs to accelerate your progress.

A Clear Path to AGI
Autograd provides a focused progression system with a clear goal. Every action you take is a step on
the path from basic models to the ultimate achievement in artificial intelligence.
• Begin by training a simple linear regression model to generate your first units of Compute.
• Use that Compute to purchase upgrades that increase the model's production rate.
• Reach a production milestone to unlock the next model in the progression, like polynomial regression.
• Continue unlocking more complex models, from SVMs to random forests, each more powerful than
the last.
• In the mid-game, unlock the research tree and begin investing in permanent buffs and neural networks.
• Strategically hire researchers and purchase model layers to optimize your path toward AGI.

Strategic Management and Optimization
Autograd is a game of strategy and optimization. As your lab grows, you'll need to make critical decisions
about where to allocate resources. The most successful players find the right balance, creating a system
where every component works in harmony. This is an AI idle game that rewards thoughtful planning over
mindless clicking.
• Manage your single resource, Compute, by making smart investment choices for max growth.
• Decide when to upgrade existing models versus when to save for unlocking new research nodes.
• Enjoy a clean, minimalist UI that keeps focus on the deep progression and strategic choices.
• The game is free to play, with optional rewarded ads available for players who want a boost.
