Most music wallpapers are video loops. This live wallpaper actually listens.

Play anything — phonk, rap, rock, drum and bass, even a podcast — and the wallpaper moves with it in real time. The bass hits and the screen hits with it. It is a wallpaper that reacts to music, not an animation pretending to.

A live wallpaper that reacts to your music

The music live wallpaper reads the audio your phone is already playing and moves to it: the beat, the drops, the quiet parts between them. It was tuned on phonk, so a phonk live wallpaper is what it does best, but it works with whatever is on.

Because it follows the real audio, no two tracks ever look the same. A slow track breathes. A hard one snaps. That is the difference between an audio reactive wallpaper and a moving wallpaper that just repeats a loop.

About the microphone permission

Android only lets an app read what your speakers are playing if it has microphone access. That is the only reason this app asks for it.

It reads the sound your phone is playing. It does not listen to the room, it does not record anything, and nothing ever leaves your device. Audio is read in memory and thrown away immediately. The wallpaper only reads it while it is actually on screen — when your screen turns off, it stops.

You can also skip it entirely. Refuse the permission and the live wallpaper still runs. It plays its ambient animation instead of reacting.

266 wallpapers, five kinds

- Music wallpapers that move to whatever audio is playing
- Day and night wallpapers that change as the day does, from morning light to night
- Battery wallpapers that respond to your charge level and to charging
- Motion wallpapers built from real video, not a still photo with a slow pan
- 4K wallpapers for people who want it sharp and completely still

Every live wallpaper works on your home screen and on your lock screen. Set a 4K live wallpaper once and it stays through a reboot.

No pop-up ads, ever.

No full screen ad when you open the app. No ad when you unlock your phone. No banner across the bottom of the screen. The only videos in this app are the ones you choose to watch to unlock a wallpaper, and choosing not to watch them costs you nothing but the wallpaper.

That is the whole advertising model. There is nothing else running in the background selling your attention.

Built to be left running.

A live wallpaper lives on your phone all day, so it is built to behave like it. The wallpaper stops reading audio the moment it is not on screen. It survives a reboot and stays exactly what you set it to. It does not restart itself, reset your choice, or quietly swap in something you did not pick.

Phonk wallpaper, 4K wallpaper, or something quieter

If you came for a phonk wallpaper, start with the music wallpapers and play something heavy. If you want a 4K live wallpaper that simply looks good and stays out of the way, the day and night wallpapers change slowly with the hours and ask nothing of you.

The catalogue is curated rather than scraped. Every image was chosen to look right on a phone screen, at phone size, behind your icons — which is not the same thing as looking good on a monitor.

Setting your live wallpaper

Pick a wallpaper, press set, and choose whether it goes on your home screen, your lock screen, or both. A music live wallpaper reacts on the lock screen too, so the first thing you see when you pick up your phone moves with whatever is playing.

If you want the battery wallpaper, set it and forget it — it reads your charge level on its own and changes as the battery falls and while it charges.
