Ruminate - Reclaim your attention, one mindful pause at a time

You don't need another app that shames you for your screen time. You need a moment to think twice before the scroll pulls you in. That's what Ruminate does.

Ruminate is a gentle app blocker built around one simple idea: the problem isn't opening Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or X, it's opening them on autopilot. So instead of hard-blocking your apps, Ruminate adds a calm buffer between the impulse and the feed.

The Buffer — a breath before the scroll
When you open a blocked app, Ruminate greets you with a quiet buffer screen instead of the endless feed. A short pause. A moment to ask: do I actually want to be here right now? Most of the time, that tiny bit of friction is all it takes to close the app and get your minute — or your evening — back.

Block what pulls you in
Choose the apps that hijack your attention and let Ruminate stand guard. Social media, video, games, news — you decide what deserves a second thought.

Mindful, not punishing
No guilt trips. No aggressive lockouts. No creepy tracking. Ruminate is designed to feel like a calm friend, not a strict parent. You stay in control — the goal is awareness, not restriction.

Private by design
Your habits are yours. Ruminate keeps your data on your device. No accounts required, no selling your attention to anyone.

Make it yours
Personalize the experience with themes that fit your vibe, so opening Ruminate feels like a small moment of calm.

Why people love Ruminate:
• Break the doomscroll reflex without deleting your apps
• Reclaim hours you didn't know you were losing
• Feel more present with the people and work in front of you
• Simple, beautiful, and refreshingly free of pressure

Attention is the one thing you can't buy back. Ruminate helps you spend it on purpose.

Ruminate uses the Android AccessibilityService API to detect when you open an app you've chosen to block, so it can show a mindful pause before you continue. It only reads which app came to the foreground — it cannot read the contents of your screen, and this data never leaves your phone.
