THE SCIENCE
Progressive muscle relaxation was developed by physician Edmund Jacobson in the 1920s and remains one of the most widely studied relaxation techniques in clinical practice. Deliberately tensing a muscle and then releasing it produces a relaxation response deeper than trying to relax directly — useful for stress, anxiety, insomnia, and everyday muscle tension.

Relexa is not a medical service. We're not therapists or doctors, just people who've dealt with anxiety, stress, and sleepless nights ourselves. If you're struggling seriously, please reach out to a qualified mental health professional.
