What it is
Groundwork is a plain, quiet workout tracker and gym log for the basics: daily routines, weight, fasting windows, gym sessions and runs. One app, on your phone, working offline, and nothing else.

It is built for people in their 30s, 40s and 50s who are tired of fitness apps that behave like social media — endless feeds, streak guilt, notifications nobody asked for, and a paywall in front of every screen. Groundwork does the opposite. It opens fast, shows you your week, and gets out of the way.

What this isn't
No ads. Ever. No account, no sign-up. No feeds, no leaderboards, no daily nagging. Your data stays on your device — nothing is sent to us, because there is no server on our side to send it to.

What's inside
Routines — build daily or weekday habits and see the whole week as one simple grid. One reminder, only if you want it.

Weight — log it and watch the trend against a target line. Optional, and off by default.

Fasting — start a timer, pick a window such as 16:8, or backdate a start you forgot. A home-screen widget counts along with you.

Gym — log sessions, build multi-day plans from templates or from scratch, and track personal records with an estimated one-rep max.

Cardio — log runs and walks, build your own interval sessions by pace and distance, or try the Cooper-test program.

Mobility — a stretch library and guided sessions with a timer.

Metric or imperial, first day of the week your choice, English or Finnish following your phone's language.

Your data
Everything lives in a local database on your phone. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers. The system's automatic cloud backup is switched off, so your training history is not copied anywhere unless you ask it to be. The app needs no network connection for anything except Google Drive backup (optional) and Google Play purchases.

Groundwork Pro
The app is fully usable for free. Pro is optional: a monthly or yearly subscription, each with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time 1000-day pass. It unlocks unlimited gym and cardio plans, guided mobility sessions, Google Drive backup and restore, full history, CSV export, and extra reminders. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time in Google Play. No ads are ever added, at any tier.

In short
If you want a training log without the noise, this is it.
