Test the strategy, not your savings.

SmartPaperDesk is an educational paper-trading simulator for the Indian stock market. You get a virtual fund of Rs 10,00,000 and a safe place to learn how systematic trading actually works, with delayed market data (end-of-day or older) and zero real money. No broker account is needed, no real order is ever placed, and nothing you do here touches an exchange.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Dashboard: your paper account at a glance. Net P&L after charges, realized and unrealized, win rate, capital deployed, sector concentration with an honest warning when one sector holds too much of your book, monthly P&L, and every recent trading day with its trades.

Watchlist: follow up to 30 NSE stocks and practise opening a paper position with a quantity and an optional stop.

Strategies: deploy ready-made system strategies or ones you built on the website. Deployed strategies scan the market each weekday and open paper positions under your risk limits.

Scanner: run a strategy's entry rules across largecap, midcap or smallcap stocks and see which stocks matched your rule on the latest delayed close, with the rule shown in plain words.

Backtest: test any strategy on one stock or a whole basket over years of history. Win rate, drawdown, expectancy, and a month-by-month picture in red and green. Past results do not predict future returns, and the app says so on the page.

Portfolio: every open and closed position with entry, stop, charges and the reason it was opened. Exit one position or all of them with a confirmation.

Risk settings: capital per trade, exposure ceiling, daily loss limit, and a kill switch that halts all new entries. The same limits gate every entry, manual or scanned, because learning risk discipline is the point.

Realistic charges: every paper trade pays simulated brokerage, STT, exchange fees, GST and stamp duty, so your P&L looks like the real world's, not a video game's.

WHAT THIS APP IS NOT

SmartPaperDesk is a learning tool. It is not a broker, not an investment adviser, and not a tipping service. It never places real orders, never handles your money, and never tells you what to buy or sell. All results are simulated on delayed or historical market data. Simulated performance does not predict real returns. Nothing in this app is investment advice; consult a SEBI-registered adviser before investing real money.
