SpotCheck is a professional clinical advice and guidance platform designed for cosmetic and aesthetic practitioners who treat skin lesions. Provided by Aesthetk Ltd, a Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated healthcare provider, SpotCheck bridges the gap between aesthetic treatments and clinical safety.

The app enables practitioners to obtain expert medical input on whether a lesion is suitable for cosmetic removal or reduction—such as via electrosurgery, laser, cryotherapy, or IPL—and whether a client is medically appropriate for the procedure. By supporting clinical decision-making, SpotCheck helps improve patient safety, supports professional indemnity, and promotes appropriate escalation for medical assessment when required.

Clinical Governance & Safety
SpotCheck is an advice and guidance tool; it does not replace formal, in-person medical diagnosis. Where clinical features suggest a potential medical risk, users are explicitly advised to refer clients for a face-to-face assessment by a qualified medical professional. The platform is designed to promote safer practice, support regulatory compliance, and aid in the early detection of potentially serious skin conditions.

Data Protection & Security
We take patient data seriously. All clinical information and images are handled, transmitted, and stored securely in strict accordance with UK GDPR and medical data protection standards.
