Hiking maps for Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland, right in your pocket.

iLende is a detailed topographic map of four Nordic countries for hiking, skiing and cycling. The map is free in all four countries, and you need no account.

On the map:
• Topographic maps from the national mapping agencies: Kartverket in Norway, Lantmäteriet in Sweden, the National Land Survey of Finland and Landmælingar Íslands in Iceland, together with OpenStreetMap
• Trails, marked routes, huts and shelters in all four countries
• Contour lines every 5 m in Norway and Finland, every 5 to 10 m in Sweden and every 20 m in Iceland
• 3D terrain and hillshading
• Satellite and hybrid maps of all four countries from Copernicus
• Buildings, addresses and place names
• Search for places, huts, routes and addresses in all four countries. Results from the country you are in come first
• Routes for hiking, skiing, cycling and paddling: Norway's national trail database and routes from OpenStreetMap. See the length and description, find routes nearby and highlight them on the map
• A gravel lens that highlights gravel and forest roads

One map for four countries

Walk from Norway into Sweden or Finland without changing maps. The colors, the trails and the hut symbols are the same on both sides of the border, and marked trails stand out from other paths at every zoom level. The first time you open iLende, a short tour shows you the map of your own country.

Measure the way

How far is it to the summit, and how steep is it? Draw the route with your finger, tap point by point or let the line follow the trails. You see the distance over the terrain, the climb and the walking time, with an elevation profile for the whole way. If a line goes wrong, Undo takes back the whole stroke in one tap.

Find your way

Tap the location button once, and the map follows you and turns the way you face. Navigation guides you turn by turn along trails and roads, with the distance left and the climbs ahead.

Maps without coverage

Download maps before you go and use them where there is no signal. The download keeps going when you leave the app, and a notification shows how far it has come.

On your wrist

Your phone draws the map for your Wear OS watch and sends the areas you choose. The watch then works on its own, without the phone and without a network. If a transfer stops, it picks up where it left off.

In your language

iLende is in English, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Icelandic, German, French and Italian.

For phones and tablets

On tablets and Chromebooks iLende has a side panel and keyboard shortcuts.
