Sun Explorer is a visual sun tracker. It draws the position and the path of the sun and the moon straight onto a real map, for any place on Earth and any day of the year. Tap a spot, slide through the hours or through the seasons, and see where the light will fall before you travel, build or shoot.

SEE THE SUN AND MOON ON A MAP
• The sun position circle marks your spot, with the sun path drawn around it: solid for the hours already past, dashed for what is still to come
• Sunrise, solar noon, sunset and twilight times for the selected day
• Moon mode: moonrise, moonset, lunar transit and the current moon phase
• A time slider for the hours, a year slider for the seasons, so you can watch the light move
• LIVE mode returns to this moment; place search and GPS take you anywhere

WHO USES IT
• Photographers: plan a shoot around golden hour and blue hour
• Solar panel owners: check the sun path over a roof before mounting panels
• Real estate and architecture: see whether a home, balcony or garden gets evening sun
• Gardeners: find the spots that stay sunny, and the ones that never do
• Hikers and campers: pick a tent spot with morning sun or afternoon shade
• Travellers: use the sun tracker and the climate bars so you know when to travel, before booking

• The sun path for that spot and that day is drawn immediately
• Drag the time slider through the day, or the year slider through the seasons

PLANNING A TRIP: 20 YEARS OF CLIMATE DATA (PRO)
The climate bars show what a place is usually like in that part of the year: average temperature, average precipitation and the clear-sky UV index, measured from 2006 to 2025. That tells you whether you are heading into the wet season, the dry season or the hottest weeks, months before any forecast exists.
These are long-term averages, not a weather forecast. They are meant for planning a trip or a project, not for deciding whether to take an umbrella tomorrow.
