You moved to Sweden for someone. For a job. For a place at a university. Or you're about to. And somewhere between the dinners you can't follow and the Swedes who switch to English the second you hesitate, the language keeps not happening.

Meanwhile, your evenings disappear into scrolling.

Swescroll connects those two problems: it locks the apps that eat your time, whichever ones you choose, behind Swedish flashcards. Every correct card earns time inside them. Time runs out, the lock returns. Automatically.

You don't give up phone time. A slice of it starts paying for the rest.

FOR THE LIFE YOU'RE BUILDING HERE
• Set your reason: following the family dinner, Swedish at work or in your studies, making friends here, or getting people to stop switching to English on you
• Start at your level, from your very first words to fluent-adjacent
• 10 minutes a day, carved out of time you were going to spend anyway

WHY THIS ONE STICKS
Finished a language app before and still lost at fika? Courses end. Streaks break. But the scroll urge shows up every single day, and Swescroll turns it into the most reliable study reminder ever invented. Every time you reach for a locked app, Swedish is standing at the door.

SAY IT OUT LOUD
Reading Swedish is one thing. Saying it is where most people freeze. Every so often a card plays a Swedish sentence and asks you to say it back, and your phone's speech recognition checks the words. Two tries, no audience, no pressure. Not a good moment? Tap "I can't speak now" and the speaking cards step aside for a while.

REAL SWEDISH, PROPERLY TAUGHT
• 8,400+ words across levels A1–C2, most useful words first
• Every word and every example sentence read aloud in Swedish
• After every answer, right or wrong: the word in a real sentence, with its translation
• en or ett? Nouns come back asking for their article until the right one is automatic
• Multiple choice, typed answers, fill-in-the-blank, listening, and reverse cards
• Spaced repetition brings words back right before you'd forget them

HOW THE LOCK WORKS
• Pick the apps to lock
• Answer flashcards: every correct card earns app time, and you choose the exchange rate
• Minutes only count down while you're actually inside your locked apps
• Removing an app from the blocklist takes 24 hours; adding one is instant. Impulses don't stand a chance.

AIMING FOR CITIZENSHIP?
Choose the citizenship path and 284 civics questions on history, democracy, law and traditions join your sessions, in Swedish with English one tap away. Built around the official study material for medborgarskapsprovet.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The lock uses Android's accessibility service, which only tells Swescroll which app is open so it can cover the ones you chose. It can't read your screen or what you type, and which apps you use or lock never leaves your phone. Swescroll never saves or uploads what you say on speaking cards. No account, no sign-up. Anonymous usage statistics, only if you say yes.

Whether you landed last month, you've been here five years, or the move is still a plane ticket and a promise, the words you learn tonight are the dinner conversation you'll follow next summer.
