Off Air is an offline music player, designed for your existing song collection. You already have the songs. Off Air opens, finds the music files on your phone, and plays them. No stream. No account. No sign-in. The play button plays the song.

Why people keep it installed

- Listen anywhere with no signal, no data and no buffering, because every track plays from your own storage.
- Keep your music private: there is no account, no login and no cloud library.
- Stay in control of your own collection, with the folders and tags you filed them under.
- Enjoy uninterrupted listening, because ads never appear on playback.
- Save battery and mobile data compared with streaming the same songs over and over.

The no-ads-on-song rule

Ads never appear on the Now Playing screen or on the lock screen, and playback is never gated behind an ad. The only place a banner can appear is the library screen, in a single reserved slot. If you would rather see nothing at all, the optional Off Air unlock hides it.

Optional one-time unlock

Off Air is free to use as an offline music player. There is one optional in-app purchase, the Off Air unlock (product id: offair_lifetime). It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it is not taken away later. It unlocks:

- Sleep timer
- Home-screen widget
- Gapless playback
- Resume playback position after a restart
- Hiding the library banner slot

Everything needed to browse and play your music works without paying. No feature that plays a song sits behind the paywall.

What Off Air does not do

Off Air does not stream a catalogue, and it does not download or sell music. It does not create an account or ask for your email address. It does not read contacts, location, call logs or call history. There is no After Call feature, and there are no ads in your notifications.

Permissions

- Audio and media files: needed so Off Air can find the music already on your device. Without it there is nothing to play.
- Notifications: used to show playback controls on the notification shade and lock screen.
- Foreground service (media playback): keeps the current song playing when you leave the app or lock the screen.

Off Air does not use these permissions to track you, and your library never leaves your device.

Off Air suits anyone with a local song collection: a ripped CD archive, Bandcamp and DJ downloads, mixes, audiobooks, field recordings or practice tracks. If you want a simple offline music player that respects your files and your privacy, install Off Air and press play.
