Someone sends you their grocery list as a screenshot, and now you have to shop it. Turbo Scanner reads the text on the image, recognizes the items and turns them into a clean, editable checklist in seconds, so you are not typing a shopping list out by hand.

A shopping list app, a grocery list scanner and a barcode scanner in one, built for the aisle instead of the kitchen table. No ads, ever.

Scan a shopping list, get a checklist
1. Import screenshots or photos of a list: an order someone forwarded, a text message, a photo of a printed note or a paper catalog.
2. Every line is matched to a real product in the store catalog, so you know what to look for on the store shelf.
3. Extract and organize items into a clean, editable checklist you can sort and check off while you walk the store.

A long grocery shopping list or a three-item pickup, the flow is the same, and an order you have to pick becomes a pick list.

What you can do
- Import screenshots or photos and get items, not just raw text.
- Edit quantities and notes on any item: fix a quantity, note the brand or the size you need.
- Check off items as you shop: a shopping to-do list that survives a whole trip.
- Search the store catalog by name: a product lookup when two packages look alike, an item lookup when you only remember the brand.
- Create a shopping list from scratch and add items by hand: a title, a photo, a barcode if you have one.
- Scan a barcode with your camera at the shelf to confirm the item and keep its code on your list.
- Sort items into baskets when one trip covers more than one order, so orders never get mixed.
- Show a product's barcode on screen when the one on the package is torn or missing.
- Reopen the history of past sessions and see a snapshot of each trip.
- Report a wrong match from the item card, so the catalog gets fixed.
- Built for Android and for fast, on-the-go shopping: one hand on the cart, one on the phone.

Barcodes
Item in your hand? Scan a barcode with the camera and it goes onto your list with the code attached, confirmed off the package instead of guessed in a search box. The scanner reads the standard retail barcodes printed on groceries, including UPC-A and EAN-13. It can also show a product's barcode on screen at true print size, for the checkout moments when the label is torn and you need the code in front of you.

An honest note on coverage: our product and barcode database is filled in store by store, deep for some chains and still thin for others, so barcode features work best where product data is available. It keeps growing as people scan barcodes. Screenshots, photos, catalog search and the checklist itself do not depend on it.

Matching, not just reading
Reading text off an image is the easy half. The harder half is knowing that one line on someone else's list means one specific product, in the right size and flavor. Turbo Scanner matches each line to a product in the catalog, shows you what it picked, and lets you swap it for a closer match in two taps. That is what keeps you from carrying home the wrong item.

Shopping for someone else
If you shop for other people, a client, a parent, a roommate, this is the part that saves the trip: their list arrives as a picture, and you start walking with a checklist instead of retyping it at the door.

Your lists and sessions
Every list is saved with a snapshot of what was on it, so last week's trip is still there and a new list is one tap away. Lists live on the phone, so an offline moment in the back of the store does not take your checklist away; recognition, catalog search and barcode lookups need a connection.

Turbo Scanner Pro
Pro covers screenshot and photo import, where recognition runs on our servers, and pulling a barcode out of the shared database. The first 7 days are free. Sign in with Google and Pro follows your account; cancel any time in Google Play.
