Flick is an audiophile-grade local music player built for Android. Its core purpose is a complete local library: Flick scans internal storage, SD cards and USB drives to find and index every supported audio file — including hi-res and DSD formats (DSF/DFF) and WavPack files that Android's built-in media scanner cannot catalogue on many devices — so your whole collection is playable in one place.

Flick also gives you direct USB Audio Class 2.0 (UAC 2.0) access to external DACs and amplifiers — no resampling, no Android audio stack in the way. Just bit-perfect playback straight to your gear.

KEY FEATURES:

Complete Local Library Scan
Point Flick to your music folders and it does the rest. Smart scanning walks your internal storage, SD cards and USB drives directly, indexing FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, MP3, M4A/AAC, OGG, Opus, WavPack, and DSD (DSF/DFF) files — including formats Android's media scanner doesn't index on many devices. Browse by album, artist, or folder — your library, your way.

UAC 2.0 Bit-Perfect Playback
Flick bypasses the Android mixer and talks directly to your USB DAC or AMP. Enjoy studio-quality sound exactly as the artist intended, with native support for high-resolution audio.

Beautiful, Minimal Interface
A clean dark interface puts your music front and center. Browse your library, queue up tracks, and control playback with smooth gestures and haptic feedback. Custom poster backgrounds let you personalize albums with your own photos.

Background Playback & Media Controls
Keep the music going while you use other apps. A persistent media notification gives you play, pause, skip, and seek controls from anywhere. Plus lock screen and notification shade integration.

Last.fm Scrobbling
Connect your Last.fm account and Flick will automatically scrobble every track you play. Your listening history stays synced without lifting a finger.

Audio Visualizer
Watch your music come alive with a real-time waveform visualizer that reacts to the output mix. See the beats as they hit.

Fine-Tuned Audio
Built-in equalizer lets you shape the sound to match your headphones, speakers, or personal taste. Dial in the perfect curve and save it.

Shuffle & Queue
Smart shuffle keeps your listening fresh. Build and reorder an on-the-fly queue without disrupting what's currently playing.

Privacy First
Flick is a local music player. Your library stays on your device. No accounts, no cloud uploads, no tracking, no ads. Storage access is used only to scan and play the music folders you choose. Your music is yours. Period.

Open Source
Flick is fully open source. No telemetry, no hidden permissions, no surprises. The code is available for anyone to inspect, audit, or contribute to.

Designed for the Android ecosystem, Flick works with the music files you already own. No streaming subscriptions, no monthly fees, just great sound from a player that respects your music and your privacy.
