Ajar: The Smart Way to Stop Food Waste

Ajar was created with a single mission: to wage war on food waste. So many perfectly good items end up in the bin simply because we forget when we bought them or when they expire. With Ajar, keeping track of your fridge and saving your wallet has never been so seamless and satisfying!

Gone are the days of manually typing out long expiration dates and product names. Ajar uses smart scanning to make tracking your groceries frictionless.

Effortless Scanning
• Barcode Scanner: Instantly pull product names, brands, and images from a massive global food database just by pointing your camera.
• AI Date Recognition: Point your phone at the "Best Before" ink on the packaging, and Ajar’s smart camera will read the date and save it automatically—no typing required!
• Manual Entry: Have fresh bakery bread or farmer's market produce? You can always type items in manually or snap your own custom photo.

Gamified Fridge Management
• Tinder-Style Sorting: Running your kitchen has never been this fun. Swipe right directly on a jar to mark it as perfectly finished. Swipe left to toss it in the bin (and honestly log how much went to waste!).
• Beautiful Grid Interface: See exactly what’s in your fridge at a glance with beautiful, color-coded jars representing your groceries.

AI Recipe Inspiration
• Let the Chef Decide: Do you have half a tub of Greek yoghurt, a bell pepper, and eggs expiring soon? Select your ingredients and hit "Inspire Me"! Ajar leverages a lightning-fast on-device AI integration to instantly generate a creative, step-by-step recipe to use up your remaining food so nothing goes to waste.

Track Your Efficiency
• Dashboard & Analytics: View your 7-day snapshot directly on your home screen. Ajar tracks exactly how many items you added, successfully finished, or binned.
• Aim for 100%: Keep your weekly "Zero-Waste Efficiency" score as close to 100% as possible and finally understand your grocery cycles.
