The free workout tracker that tells you if you're actually progressing.

Most gym apps are a workout log and nothing more. They save your sets and reps, then leave you to guess whether any of it worked. WhyRep logs your training like any gym tracker, then reads it for you: every lift gets a verdict, and every verdict shows the rule behind it.

LOG YOUR WORKOUTS FAST
• A keypad built for the gym floor: weight, reps and RIR (reps in reserve) in a few taps
• Last session's numbers sit right next to each set, so you know what to beat
• A rest timer under every set, started when you tick the set above it
• 847 exercises, all with pictures, with an equipment filter, or add your own
• Log each arm or leg separately for single-side lifts
• A weightlifting log for barbell, dumbbell, cable, machine and bodyweight lifts

KNOW IF YOU'RE ACTUALLY PROGRESSING
Finish a workout and WhyRep checks each lift against your own history: progressed, flat, or went back. It compares set 1 against set 1 and counts effective reps (reps plus reps in reserve), so adding a rep at the same effort counts as progressive overload and grinding out the same set at failure does not.

STUCK ON A LIFT? GET THE FIX
A plateau is measured, not guessed. How many flat sessions count as a real plateau depends on your experience level, so a beginner and a lifter with years of training are not held to the same standard. When a lift stalls, WhyRep suggests the first fix, like a new rep range or spreading a muscle's sets across more days, and you decide whether to take it.

SEE YOUR STRENGTH TRAINING OVER TIME
• Progression charts for every exercise: weight and effective reps
• History of every session, with the best set of each lift
• Weekly volume per muscle on a body map, so you can see which muscles you're missing

PLAN YOUR TRAINING
• Save any workout as a routine and start it prefilled next time
• Build a split (Push Pull Legs, Upper Lower, or your own) and WhyRep tells you what today's session is
• Share a routine with a link. No account needed on either end

WORKS OFFLINE, NO ACCOUNT NEEDED
The workout tracker works with no account and no signal, on a plane or in a basement gym. Your training is stored on your phone, and the analysis runs on your phone too.

Sign in and your training backs itself up. A copy of your history is stored so you can restore it on a new phone, with no setting to switch on and nothing to remember. Your coach chat is never included, and if you never sign in, nothing leaves your phone.
