Zafe is a multisig wallet for groups that hold Zcash together. A payment needs approval from enough members, each on their own phone. On-chain it looks like any other shielded payment.

It suits grant programs, DAOs, teams and families.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Create a vault and set the rule, such as 2 of 3. A vault can have up to 15 members.
2. Invite members with a link or QR code. Each of you checks the same four safety words.
3. A member proposes a payment. The others approve with one tap, on their own time. When enough have approved, Zafe sends it.

NO SINGLE KEY
Zafe is non-custodial. Each phone holds one share of the vault's key, and the whole key never exists. No member can move the funds alone, and neither can we.

YOUR PHONE CHECKS THE PAYMENT
Before you approve, your phone checks the transaction against the vault's keys. It won't sign if the recipient, amount, memo or fee differ from the request.

PRIVACY
Amounts, recipients and memos stay shielded. There's no account and no tracking. Members talk through a relay that passes encrypted messages it can't read, and it can't move funds. You can route everything through Tor.

ALSO
• Pay several people at once, or import a CSV
• Get a notification when a payment needs you
• Back up with 12 words
• Replace a lost phone with the other members' help
• Give an accountant a view-only key

BEFORE YOU START
Zafe is in beta and hasn't had a security audit. Start with small amounts.
Back up your share. If too many members lose both their phone and their backup, the funds are gone for good.
Everyone in a vault should update Zafe at the same time.
