Play a song out loud. keybop hears it and writes your piano lesson.

It listens through your phone's mic or a USB MIDI cable and hears every note on any piano or keyboard. Nothing is uploaded: the audio never leaves your phone. No keyboard yet? Practise on the built-in one with real piano sounds.

IT HEARS YOU
Both hands, on a real piano or over MIDI. Wrong octave? It tells you. Unsure what it heard? It says so instead of marking you wrong.

WAIT MODE NEVER RUNS AHEAD OF YOU
Play the right note and the score moves on. Play a wrong one and it simply waits for you to try again. Tap Watch to see and hear the passage first, and turn on Ghost to play against your own last attempt.

THE SONG YOU ACTUALLY WANT
Play it yourself, or hold your phone up to a speaker. keybop works out the key and the tempo and writes it four ways: beginner, intermediate, advanced, and exactly what it heard, split into sections you can drill. Misheard a note? Fix it in the editor.

NO TWINKLE UNLESS YOU ASK
Tell keybop what brought you here and what you can already do, and it starts you at the right level. Eight levels, 60 short lessons: a learn card with an animated keyboard, a warm-up, the piece phrase by phrase, then the whole thing up to speed. Pause any time. keybop keeps your place and tells you when it is a good place to stop.

REAL SHEET MUSIC, WHEN YOU ARE READY
Falling notes to start. Then flip to properly engraved notation: grand staff, key signatures, beams, fingering, dynamics, pedal, with a cursor that follows your playing.

PLAY MODE: EVERY NOTE SCORED
Once you know the notes, play in time with the metronome from 40% up to full speed. Every note is judged for pitch and timing, with results per bar, one line that says what to fix next, and a bar that shows how close you are to the next star. Loop any run of bars hands-free. Practise either hand on its own. On a MIDI keyboard your dynamics, articulation and pedal are judged too.

TRAIN YOUR EARS, NOT JUST YOUR FINGERS
Ear training, play-by-ear, improvisation and sight-reading steps in every level, plus a five-minute daily workout built from what you have already opened.

COMPOSE IT. SHARE IT.
Record your own pieces from a MIDI keyboard, the on-screen keys or the mic. Name them, fix them note by note on the staff, practise them like any other piece, and share them as a video, a picture or a WAV.

PRACTICE THAT STICKS
Three stars per piece, XP, streaks with a freeze for the days life gets in the way, spaced warm-ups, and one daily reminder at the hour you actually practise, only if you turn it on.

HONEST BY DESIGN
No ads, ever. A real free tier: three lessons at your level, Listen Mode, a free song every week, and the composer. keybop Premium opens every level and every piece: monthly or yearly with a 7-day free trial on both plans, or pay once and keep it for life. Cancel a subscription any time in Google Play, and nothing you have earned is ever locked again.

Phone or tablet. On a tablet the sheet music sits above a full-width keyboard, made for a music stand. Progress backs up to your account and follows you to your next device.

The microphone is used only to detect the notes you play, and only while you practise. Audio is never stored.
