Every city has a staircase people avoid. Stairs vs Knees turns it into a race.

Find a public staircase near you. Run up, run back down. Your phone times the lap with its motion sensors, so you never have to stop and tap halfway up. At the bottom you get your time, an SVK score, and a knee report that tells you how much you'll regret it tomorrow.

Then you get ranked.

RACE YOUR CITY AND THE WORLD • Leaderboards for every staircase, every city and the whole world • Age brackets and gender divisions, so you race people your own size • Take the crown on a staircase and your name goes on it until someone beats you

TIMED BY YOUR PHONE • Motion detection marks the turnaround and the finish for you • 3-2-1 countdown with vibration, so the phone can stay in your pocket • Tap to override any time

EVERY LAP, BROKEN DOWN • Up and down splits, average speed and vertical metres climbed • A cadence chart for the whole lap • Knee-load score and history, plus how far you are behind the leader

CLIMB WITH OTHERS • Follow climbers and see their laps in your feed • Give kudos, comment, and hit "beat it" to race their staircase • Share cards that link friends straight to the staircase you just ran

YOUR STAIRS OF THE WORLD • A world map on your profile that fills in with every city you've climbed • Badges for streaks, milestones and city top-10s • Your followers can see how far you've climbed

MADE FOR ANYWHERE • Works in any city, in any country • Metric or imperial units • Your location is only used to rank you locally. Turn off public mode to see your rank without appearing on the board.

Free to use, with a short ad after each lap.

Your knees have been warned.
