Emberdeep is a classic pixel-art dungeon RPG built around one loop: descend, defeat the boss, collect the loot, and forge stronger gear. Then decide whether to keep your hard-won equipment safe or risk it against other hunters.

EVERY MONSTER IS FLEEING SOMETHING DEEPER
Beneath every land burns the Deep, a sea of living fire, and the wards that hold it down are failing. Join Captain Lorath's expedition, uncover what happened to the first one, and follow the story down to the Ember Gate.

THREE LANDS, ONE DEEP
• Ember Watch: sewers, goblin camps, the Underground and the burning depths below
• Kemet: pyramids, tombs and the Abyss of Nun, guided by the priest Neferkhet
• Niflheim: a frozen mountain maze of ledges, sea caves and frostworm tunnels, with the skald Sigrid
Sail between the islands with Captain Brann. Each land has its own story line, bosses and progression.

THE HUNTER'S ROTATION
• Explore: descend through hand-built floors and dungeons that are never the same twice
• Fight: clear monster packs and take on bosses with their own special attacks
• Gather: collect gems, runes, recipes and crafting materials
• Upgrade: return to town, improve your gear and head back down to go deeper

QUESTS, TASKS AND ACTIVITIES
Follow each land's story, take on gathering contracts and kill tasks, and lead your party into private story activities.

PLENTY OF BOSS FIGHTS
Bosses stand between you and the exit portal. Defeat them for experience and rare rewards, including forge rites and legendary Unique items. Find the right offerings and call bosses yourself at summoning altars.

THE HOLY FORGE
Your equipment grows with you:
• Enhance weapons and armor with Blessed Gems and Soul Gems up to +9
• Raise an item's material tier with Jewels of Transmutation, from wood all the way to emerald
• Temper your gear at the Holy Forge to push past +9, all the way to +20
• Craft your own weapons and armor from recipes, and pick their look
• Infuse crafted gear with up to 6 rites from boss drops: life steal, wider fireballs, ricocheting missiles, PvP counters and more
• Change a wand's element with elemental runes, and fuse items into rarer ones
Every upgrade is a gamble worth taking. Will your blade survive the forge?

PVP WITH REAL STAKES
Defeat another hunter and claim their spoils: you gain a share of the experience they lose, fallen players drop what they carry plus part of their gold, and player killers risk losing equipped gear. Bank your gold to keep it safe. Every fight is a chance to walk away with someone else's +15 sword, or to lose your own.

A REPUTATION SYSTEM THAT KEEPS PVP OPT-IN
• Peaceful: hunters who have not attacked another player in the last 7 days cannot be attacked in the open world
• Neutral: attack another player and you become fair game yourself for 7 days
• Hostile: kill a player and you are marked Hostile. Die while Hostile and your equipped gear is up for grabs
Fight when you want to. Stay peaceful when you don't.

YOUR PLAYSTYLE BECOMES YOUR CLASS
No class picker. At level 3, Emberdeep looks at the skills you have trained and gives you a permanent class:
• Mages: Fire, Ice, Death, Nature and Energy
• Archers who dodge hits and outrun danger
• Warriors: Brawler, Stalker, Swordsman, Greatswordsman, Axeman and Berserker
• Hybrid classes such as the Fire Swordsman or Fire Archer
Every class has its own passives and spells. Unlock new outfits through hidden achievements.

SOLO, CO-OP AND ONLINE
Play solo at your own pace, form a party with friends, or join the shared online world and hunt alongside (or against) other players. The online world runs on authoritative servers, so fights, drops and upgrades stay fair. Chat comes with report and block tools.

Emberdeep is free to play. Ember Coins, an optional in-game currency, and Premium, which opens Kemet and Niflheim, can be purchased.

Grab your weapon, light a torch, and start the descent.
