Turn your Android phone into a professional wireless webcam for OBS Studio. Stream high-quality video to your computer over Wi-Fi using either RTSP or NDI — no cables required, no extra hardware to buy.

Whether you're a livestreamer, content creator, online teacher, or just need an extra camera for video calls, Camera for OBS Studio gives you flexible, low-latency video delivery straight from your phone.

TWO STREAMING MODES

RTSP Mode (Recommended)
• Works on any Wi-Fi, including 2.4 GHz networks
• No OBS plugin needed — uses OBS Studio's built-in Media Source
• Hardware H.264 encoding for minimal CPU and battery use
• 10–20× lower bandwidth than NDI (~3 Mbps for 720p)
• Best for everyday streaming and recording

NDI Mode
• Highest quality with broadcast-grade SpeedHQ compression
• Automatic source discovery — OBS finds your phone in the dropdown
• Ultra-low latency (~50 ms end-to-end)
• Requires the free DistroAV (NDI) plugin in OBS
• Best for professional production setups

HOW IT WORKS

1. Connect your phone and computer to the same Wi-Fi network
2. Open the app and pick RTSP or NDI mode
3. Tap "Send" to start streaming
4. Add the stream as a source in OBS Studio — done!

A built-in step-by-step setup guide walks you through OBS configuration for both modes, including hardware decoding and low-latency tuning.

FULL CAMERA CONTROLS

• Switch between front and rear cameras with one tap

PRIVACY FIRST

Your video never leaves your local Wi-Fi network. Camera for OBS Studio does not upload, store, or analyze any video data — it streams directly to your computer and nowhere else.
