Zena Digest is the easiest way to follow Ethiopian news, in your own language. All the latest news from Ethiopia and Addis Ababa in one feed, with short, clear summaries in Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Tigrinya or English.

We gather reporting from trusted Ethiopian sources: Tikvah Ethiopia, Addis Standard, The Reporter, Capital, Addis Fortune, ENA, Birr Metrics, BBC Amharic, BBC Afaan Oromoo, BBC Tigrinya, DW Amharic, Jawar Mohammed and more. When several outlets cover the same event, they are grouped so you see it once.

KEY FEATURES
• Ethiopian news in 4 languages: read every headline and summary in Amharic (አማርኛ), Afaan Oromoo, Tigrinya (ትግርኛ) or English, and choose the app's language separately.
• Breaking news alerts you control: All, Important or Off per category, quiet hours, and a daily limit. The same story is never sent twice.
• Top stories: see what Ethiopia is reading today, this week, this month and of all time, with read counts.
• Categories: Politics, Business, Technology, Sports, Entertainment, Health, Society and World, plus the day's top stories.
• Videos and photos from Telegram news channels play right in the app, fast and light on data.
• Live Ethiopian radio: 40 FM stations, including Afaan Oromoo and Tigrinya, with background play and a sleep timer.
• Birr exchange rates: bank and parallel-market dollar rates, gold, fuel and Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) prices.
• Works offline and on slow connections: stories you loaded stay readable, and a low-data mode skips images.
• Search in all four languages, save stories for later, keep reading with "Up next", and share any story to Telegram, WhatsApp or Facebook as a ready-made image with its link.
• 10 themes, each with a light and a dark mode.

Every story links back to its original source. Zena Digest summarizes; the reporting belongs to the publishers. AI summaries can contain errors, and you can report any summary from inside the app.
