If the first thing you do in the morning is reach for your phone and check your positions, try changing the order.

Stock Wake is an alarm clock. Instead of a loud tone, it wakes you by reading out the stocks you picked. You open your eyes already knowing what happened in the market overnight.

■ An alarm that reads your watchlist

· Mix stocks from 8 markets in one list — 🇺🇸 US, 🇰🇷 Korea, 🇯🇵 Japan, 🇭🇰 Hong Kong, 🇬🇧 UK, 🇩🇪 Germany, 🇨🇦 Canada, 🇦🇺 Australia — with major crypto
· Search and add symbols, and set the order they are read in
· Big movers are called out first in the briefing

■ The rest of what a morning needs

· Overnight U.S. index closes (S&P 500 and Nasdaq) and today's major economic events (FOMC, CPI, and more)
· Exchange rate
· Today's weather and rain (you search and pick the city — no location permission)

■ Built to actually ring

The worst thing an alarm app can do is fail silently. That is where most of the work went.

· Scheduled as an exact alarm (AlarmClock), so it fires on the minute you set
· Alarms and pending snoozes survive a reboot or an app update
· If the device alarm volume is at zero, it is raised so the alarm is audible
· If speech fails, it falls back to an alarm tone — it never goes silent
· If an alarm did pass silently, the app tells you, with the time it should have rung
· If a setting that can block alarms is on, you get a warning on the home screen

■ Clear enough for half-asleep

· Slide to dismiss, so a reflex tap can't turn it off
· Snooze with a volume button
· While snoozed, the lock screen shows exactly when it will ring again
· Prefer a single tap? Switch it in settings

■ Showing up adds up

Checking in on market mornings raises your participation level. It reflects consistency only — it says nothing about investing skill or returns.

■ Also

· No ads, no sign-up, no purchases
· No backend server, so no personal data is collected
· English, 한국어, 日本語, 中文 (Traditional)
· Dark and light themes, three trend color schemes including one for color vision deficiency
· Home screen widget

Good to know

Stock Wake uses Android's exact alarm (AlarmClock) API to ring as reliably as possible. However, due to how Android works, no alarm app can ring if:

· a manufacturer battery-saver has stopped the app (e.g. Samsung "Sleeping apps")
· you have force-stopped the app in system settings
· the device is powered off or the battery is empty
· notification or exact-alarm permissions are turned off

The app detects these situations, warns you on the home screen, and tells you afterwards if an alarm passed silently. For important schedules, please also use your device's built-in Clock app.
