The Wise Lapwing Book Club App is the ultimate tool for managing your book club logistics. With AI-powered features and intelligent scheduling, it simplifies book selection and meeting coordination, so you can focus on the joy of reading and meaningful discussion. The main purpose is to provide a simple experience with advanced features where appropriate.

KEY FEATURES

* AI-Powered Book Recommendations
Receive personalized book suggestions based on your club’s reading history and preferences. We aggregate book data from sources like Google Books, Open Library, and the Hardcover API to provide a rich selection tailored to your group.

* Smart Meeting Coordination
Effortlessly find the best time to meet by collecting availability from all members and intelligently recommending the most suitable date.

* Reading List Management
Keep track of what your club has read and maintain a backlog of future reads. Each book entry can include metadata and links to sources like Google Books or Hardcover.

* AI-Generated Discussion Questions
Use our integrated AI to generate discussion questions tailored to each book, so every meeting has structure and depth without extra planning.

* Fair Book Selection with Built-in Math
We use a custom scoring algorithm to ensure fairness in voting. By blending your group’s internal ratings with external data, we apply a Bayesian average that helps lesser-known books compete fairly—ideal for groups who want democratic, data-driven choices.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Sign up and create or join your book club.
2. Add books to your shared backlog.
3. Coordinate meeting availability with members.
4. Let the app help you choose what to read and when to meet.
5. Enhance each discussion with AI-curated questions.

FLEXIBLE & PRIVATE

We don’t require personal data beyond a name and email. You’re in control of your book club’s content, history, and settings. The app is hosted securely and built with privacy-first design principles.

WHY BOOK CLUB?

Traditional book clubs struggle with logistics — picking books, aligning calendars, and maintaining records. Book Club removes the stress by making scheduling and selection intelligent, fair, and fast. Built by people who love books and data.
